- Consume at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day, whether raw, cooked, plain, prepared, fresh, frozen or canned.
- Eat bread and cereals, potatoes and pulses at every meal according to your appetite (focusing on whole grain foods).
- Consume 3 dairy products a day (milk, yogurts, cheese) with a focus on variety.
- Eat alternately meat, fish (and other seafood) or eggs 1 or 2 times a day; remember that eating fish at least twice a week is very healthy.
- Limit added fats (butter, oil, fresh cream, etc.) and fatty products (appetizers, pastries, etc.).
- Limit sugar and sweet products (sodas, sugary drinks, confectionery, chocolate, pastries, dessert creams, etc.).
- Limit salt intake and rather choose for iodized salt.
